The Deputy Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, today, attended the Eucharistic service held in celebration of the 65th birthday of His Lordship, The Rt. Rev. Geoffrey Uzochukwu Kanu, JP, Diocesan Bishop of Isuikwuato, Abia State.
The Deputy Governor who represented his principal, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, Governor of Abia State, described birthdays as new beginnings for celebrants to pursue new endeavours with new vigour and new hope. A time to move forward with courage and confidence, after a thorough retrospective analysis of one’s life tragectory.
He congratulated the celebrant and wished him more fruitful years to the service of God and humanity.
Highlight of the celebration was the cutting of a birthday cake, presentation of biography of the celebrant, and offering of successfull leadership prayer for Dr. Alex Otti’s led administration.
Dignitaries who attended the event include; Pastor Caleb Ajagba, PhD, the Chief of Staff to the Governor; Hon. Sir Lucky U. Johnson, Member Representing Isuikwuato State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly; His Eminence, Dr. Oliver A. Aba, Prelate, Methodist Church of Nigeria, represented by Most Rev. Dr. Chibuzo Opoko, Archbishop of Umuahia diocese; His Grace, Most Rev. B.L. Onugha, Archbishop of Okigwe Archdiocese, and other notable attendees.
