The Mayor of Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State Hon. High Chief Victor Ikeji has described the ABIA CHRISTMAS VILLAGE FESTIVAL project as a laudable project and promised that the LGA will support the event.
The Mayor who endorsed the project during a working visit by the Project team, encouraged the team to do their best and improve in subsequent editions. He also advised the project team to involve the private sector more in driving the event.
While speaking during the interaction, the ABIA CHRISTMAS VILLAGE FESTIVAL project coordinator Emenike Jason Iroegbu, explained that the 7 days long event is meant to provide the needed entertainment in the Abia State capital city of Umuahia for the yuletide season and to grow the entertainment economy in the state.
He revealed that the 7-day event is programme-packed and that the event will add glamour to the city of Umuahia and gradually develop the city into a destination point.
The highlight of the working visit is the decoration of the Mayor with the ABIA CHRISTMAS VILLAGE FESTIVAL face cap.
