The Nigeria Army 14 Brigade stationed at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan barracks, Ohafia in Abia state held it’s Carol of nine lessons on Sunday.
The colourful event, tagged “Carol of Peace” was graced by invited dignitaries across the state.
The Chief Host of the event was Brigadier General SB Kumapayi, Commander 14 brigade, Ohafia.
The father of the day was the Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, represented by Rev. Mrs Jemimah Kalu.
The special guest of honour was Hon. Uko Nkole, house of representatives member of Arochukwu/ Ohafia federal Constituency.
The blissful event was occasioned by entertaining melodious songs from the choirs of the various arms.
Speaking to pressmen about the event, Rev. Jemimah Ola Kalu said “the Chief whip was so excited to be invited, and wished he was there personally.
“He has promised to always identify with them, and said he will bankroll the event of 2021 by God’s grace.
“He also enjoined all those who attended to abide by the character of our lord Jesus Christ i.e been humble in whatever they do, remain peaceful and care for one another.”
“Senator Orji Kalu also said that Peace and unity should be the watch word of all christians. We should love one another and also our Muslim brothers in other for peace to rein in the country.” Rev. Ola Kalu added.
