Amangwu community in Ohafia Local government area of Abia State boils again as a result of misunderstanding between two men in the community.

Candidreporters.com gathered from an eye witness account that the fresh fracas started on Sunday night and lasted till Monday as gun battle lasted for hours.

As at Monday, five innocent Amangwu indigenes have been killed as members of the community scamper for safety and took refuge in neighbouring Communities.

According to a source, trouble started when a young man from Amangwu Ohafia went to a shop where they charge their phones at the village square, unfortunately the generator had problem starting which called for everyone around to contribute their skills for it to start.

The source also narrated that everyone tried severally but the generator failed to start.

Then a said young man decided to give it a trial, in the process the generator’s starter got spoilt as his hand hit another young man standing by due to the force applied in pulling the generator starter.

The man got infuriated from the pain and fight broke out.

The source also added that one of them got angry and ran into a house and came out with a gun and rushed to the scene where it all started but his rival was already gone only for him to start shooting sporadically and in the process two persons were killed.

The source also added that both regrouped for show of force and supremacy which made the gun battle last for hours and later had a total number of five dead.
