Political appoointees from Ivo local Government Area of Ebonyi State has been sacked by David Umahi, Ebonyi State governor.

One of his former allies and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Pius Anyim is from Ishiagu community in the local government area.

The sack comes barely 24 hours after Senator Anyim wrote an open letter to Umahi and copied President Muhammadu Buhari, and heads of security agencies.

In the said letter, Mr. Anyim alleged that Umahi was plotting to kill him, among other issues he raised.

The letter was a reaction to an earlier accusation by Umahi that the forth Senate President was plotting with other top People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leaders in the state to unleash violence in the state.

He said they were plotting with cultists and IPOB members to make the state ungovernable.

The duo and other Leaders have fallen out following the governor’s defection from the PDP to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
