The Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti has appreciated God’s benevolence, grace and mercy upon the life of the Commissioner for Trade, Commerce, and Industry, Dr Chimezie Ukaegbu who was recently attacked in Aba during one of his official outings.

Dr Otti who expressed his gratitude during the Thanksgiving and reception ceremony of Dr Chimezie Ukaegbu and 50th birthday anniversary celebration of his wife, Mrs Rosemary Ukaegbu held at Amuzukwu Girls Secondary School, Umuahia assured that his administration is doing everything possible within the arm of the law to ensure that such an urgly incident will be a thing of the past in the State.

The Governor represented by his Deputy, Engr Ikechukwu Emetu wished the Ukaegbu’s family the best of health and many success ahead, even as he appreciated God’s blessings on the wife of the Commissioner as she celebrated another glorious year of God’s goodness in her life.

Responding, the chief celebrant Dr. Chimezie Ukaegbu pointed out that the true essence of thanksgiving, is to express gratitude for His blessings and Saving Grace as well as to share love and appreciation to all that identified with him in the unfortunate incident that claimed the lives of his security personnels.

Dr Ukaegbu seized the opportunity to thank the Governor, Dr Alex Otti for finding him worthy to be appointed into the Executive Council of the State and also appreciated God for his wife, who he described as his co-pilot and prayed God to continue to crown her with good health and peace of mind.
