Bandits again abducted a first class traditional ruler in Jaba Chiefdom in Kaduna state.
Candidreporters.com gathered that the Danladi Gyet Maude, the traditional ruler who is in his 80s was abducted on Monday on his farm.
The farm is said to be located in Gitata, a neighbouring community in Nasarawa state bordering Jaba LGA of Kaduna state.
The kidnappers were said to have stormed the farm at about 2pm and abducted the traditional ruler, leaving his aides behind.
Mohammad Jalige, spokesman of the Kaduna state police command, did not respond to telephone calls and a text message when contacted.
The abduction comes two weeks after Alhassan Adamu, the Emir of Kajuru, in Kajuru LGA of Kaduna, was abducted.
The bandits, numbering over 200 had invaded the emirate, firing gunshots, before proceeding to the emir’s palace.
Three women, two of his grandchildren, three of his aides, and five others were abducted.
The 85-year-old emir later regained his freedom a day after he was kidnapped.
Kaduna has been witnessing intense attacks by bandits — ranging from killings to abduction of schoolchildren and residents — despite efforts by security agencies to contain the situation.
