The Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment to the Governor of Abia State, Martins Okey Justice, popularly known as J Martins has reiterated the resolve of Alex Otti’s administration to develop the tourism potential of Abia State.

The acclaimed entertainer gave the assurance on Thursday, July 20, 2023, during an on-the-spot assessment of the renowned Azumini Blue River in the Ukwa-East local government area of Abia state.

He assured that the Azumini blue river and other tourist attractions within the community will be developed into a destination of choice.

J.Martins as he is popularly known, was received by Eze(Prof) Edward Ebere Eule, Ph.D. the Enyenweali the 10th of Azumini-Ndoki Autonomous Community at his Palace.

The elated traditional ruler stated that Azumini blue river was a choice destination even for foreigners who visited every weekend until the onset of various cases of kidnapping within the community.

Eze Ebere who congratulated Dr. Alex Chioma Otti OFR on his emergence as the Executive Governor of Abia state pleaded with the state government to develop the Azumini blue river into an international tourist destination and noted that the impact would not be limited to job creation for the youths of Azumini-Ndoki but also on the internally generated revenue of the state.

J.Martins and his team took a paddled canoe up the river, visiting some of the beaches along the banks of the river.

The Tourism and Entertainment boss also paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Information and Culture Okey Kanu to intimate him of his plans and to seek his partnership.
