The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has faulted the conduct of says by-elections held in 12 states of the federation conducted by the independent electoral commission. ADC said the outcome shows that democracy has “declined” under President Bola Tinubu’s administration. On Saturday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conducted by-elections in 16 constituencies across 12 states in the country. Nigeria’s inflation rate has eased to 21.88% in July 2025 compared to the June 2025 rate of 22.22%. The latest inflation rate data was released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Friday. The July 2025 inflation rate showed a decrease of 0.34% compared to the June 2025 headline inflation rate. The food inflation rate in July 2025 was 22.74% on a year-on-year basis.
