Two pastors of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has been suspended over allegations of homosexuality. CANDID REPORTERS gathered on Tuesday that the suspension is contained in a memo dated October 28, 2024, and signed by Sunday Akande, its national overseer. The letter, addressed to the special assistant to the general overseer of administration, ordered a thorough investigation into the allegations against the pastors. The Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has summoned some judges over conflicting rulings on political cases in Rivers State. They are to be probed by a panel of the National Judicial Council, NJC. The CJN also summoned the chief judge of the federal high court for questioning today. Asari Dokubo, former Niger Delta militant leader has claimed that President Bola Tinubu offered him pipelines contract which he turned down. The police have arrested Abia lawmaker, Hon. Alex Mascot Ikechegh, over alleged assault on a Bolt driver in Abuja. The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command on Monday affirmed the arrest.
