The committee for skills acquisition of Ubaha Umunna Nsulu in Isialangwa north local government area of Abia State on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the management of Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprises-Niger Delta (LIFE-ND), in Umuahia, Abia state.

Speaking on the purpose of the visit, Nnamdi Nwaeze Freeman, Ph.D, the chairman of the Ubaha Umunna, Usulu skills acquisition committee revealed that the purpose of the visit to the Abia LIFE-ND office was to thank the management for choosing his community for the establishment of poultry projects in his community but also pleaded for the inclusion of cassava farming project.

His words: “we came to express our thanks and appreciation for choosing our place for this farming project.”

Nnamdi Nwaeze also added that his community is open and willing to enter any cooperation with LIFE-ND.

“The ongoing LIFE-ND projects in the state has brought hope to the women, young men, indigents and widows in his community.”

Also speaking, the secretary of the committee for skills acquisition of Ubaha Umunna Nsulu community, ASP Chidi Nwaru, Rtd. added that they are ready to support every movement until the dream of the project is realized.

He also added that the purpose of the visit was to laud the consistency of Abia LIFE-ND in implementing the project’s blue print which will keep youths in his community occupied and take away negative intentions.

His word: “These are the committee formed by the community, to superintend over the establishment of this skill acquisition, am excited, the move is good, from my own assessment, the SPC wants to reduce jobless youths from the street, you know when someone is not busy, he becomes the devil’s workshop. If you spend more time in your farm, you will not have time for these vices”

In response to the purpose of the visit, Dr. Uchenna Rowland Onyeizu, the project co-coordinator, Abia LIFE-ND, revealed that the project cuts across different commuties in Abia State and had always wished if he had the opportunity to head such office which he has now, he is willing to make impact with cooperative communities. He however emphasized that LIFE-ND as an organization strictly follows due process inline with the projects blue print. Adding that he is willing to make impact.
