Abdul Ningi, senator representing Bauchi central, has been suspended by the Senate for alleging that the 2024 budget was padded.
The senate took the decision during plenary on Tuesday which lasted more than three hours.
Adult Ninigi was suspended after a motion on privilege moved by Solomon Adeola, senator representing Ogun west.
At the weekend, Ningi stirred a discourse when he made the allegation and said a “huge damage” has been done to the north and the entire country through the budget.
