Chief Ncheta Elvis Omerekpe, Abia foremost philanthropist and business mogul has received with great shock the demise of Prof. Uchenna Eleazer Ikonne, Abia PDP Governorship candidate for the 2023 general elections.

In a press release, Chief Ncheta Omerekpe ( Ofor Ndigbo) described the late Professor of optometry as a sound scholar with the capacity to enact positive changes in every sphere of life he finds himself.

“On behalf of my family and the members of Ncheta Omerekpe Foundation, we commiserate with the entire family of late Prof. Uche Eleazer Ikonne on his unexpected demise”.

Chief Omerekpe therefore, enjoined all Abians to pray for the Ikonne family of Agburuike Nsulu, Isiala Ngwa North LGA to endure this unfortunate and irreparable loss.

“He is academically and administratively sound and willing to make a difference in any position he finds himself.

It’s such an unfortunate loss for his family, the Church of God, Anglican Communion, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Abians in general.”

The family should have the hope of seeing him in the resurrection morning as stated in the Holy Bible which reads; “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out”.

He also consoled the Abia State Government, for the unfortunate loss.

” I pray that the Almighty God should grant his gentle soul an eternal rest, Amen”.
