Usman Alkali Baba, Nigeria’s he Inspector-General of Police has ordered the closure of all satellite units of the Intelligence Response Team and Special Tactical Squad.
The I.G gave the order on Tuesday, hours after the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police and Head, Intelligence Response Team of the Nigeria Police Force, Abba Kyari, was arrested alongside his accomplices over their alleged involvement in drug trafficking.
Camdidreporters.com gathered that all serving officers in the satellite units have been directed to report to the Force Headquarters, Abuja for debriefing.
The Police source disclosed that officers in these units will be demobilized and posted to Commands across the country.
