Some homeless people, including the blind, lame, deaf and others with various physical challenges living in the streets of Aba, Abia State have received an unexpected philanthropic gesture from the feeding program of Vision Concept International Foundation (VCIF), a non governmental philanthropic organization with the motto, “Changing Lives”.

Some pioneers of the foundation on Saturday visited the homeless and physically challenged people at Bata junction, CKC and Azikiwe by Asa Road where large numbers of the targeted beneficiaries of the feeding program of VCIF were seen.

VCIF team handed them packaged meals and water after they were addressed by Hon. Prince Ehiemere Chiwendu, the national coordinator of VCIF. Hon. Ehiemere briefed the beneficiaries about the founder and sponsor of the meals served to beneficiaries.

During his briefing to the beneficiaries, Hon. Ehiemere revealed that the founder of VCIF, Apostle Ezechimerem Emeonye, is a man who likes to impact positively on the lives of the less privileged and physically challenged in the society.

In his words: “we are from Vision Concept International Foundation, what we are about doing now is been sponsored by Apostle Ezechimerem Emeony, he wants you to have this prepared meal to quench your hunger and I wish you pray for God to continue to give him the means to do more for all of you”.

As monitored by Candid Reporters news crew, the VCIF team kick started the feeding exercise from the popular Bata junction in Aba, where some homeless men, women, children and youths reside. They were full of excitement as they were informed about the VCIF mission in the area, some of them ran to inform others and they gathered in their numbers to receive the meal prepared for them.

The VCIF team moved to CKC, another popular area in the commercial city of Aba where another set of homeless people and physically challenged were given their meal which was received with much excitement and prayer for the founder of VCIF and the team members.

“May God bless the man, open his way and that of his family, give him long life, and may God pay him back.” One of the beneficiaries of the gesture prayed.

The team also moved to Asa Road by Azikiwe where another set of homeless people were found and food distributed to them as they also showered prayers on the sponsor of the feeding program, Apostle Ezechimerem.

In a telephone chat with Apostle Ezechimerem, the founder of VCIF, he said he is doing the feeding program not to get praises from anyone in the society but because he has empathy for those who occupy the streets in the state and county at large. He called on all those who have the resources to also do the same and not to wait for the government to shoulder all responsibilities of improving human lives. However, Apostle Ezechimerem called on Abia State government to see to the condition of the homeless people in the streets of Aba.

Candid Reporters also learnt that VCIF is also out to touch lives of the less privileged in the society who may not have the funds to further their education or those who want to learn vocational skills as well as establishment of small scale businesses of their choice.
