The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Abia state on Multilateral and Donor Agencies, Mr. Odinakachi Eric Eme on Wednesday met with leaders of different Non Governmental Organizations (NGOS) operating in the state.

Addressing participants, Mr. Eme thanked the leaders of the NGOs for attending the interactive meeting and stated that it was a demonstration of their commitment to the development and well-being of Abia State.

He emphasized the importance of partnership and collaboration between the Government and NGOs in the shared goals of sustainable development and poverty alleviation and explained that NGOs play a critical role in implementing projects and programs that directly impact the lives of Abia people. He told them that their expertise, passion, and dedication make them invaluable partners in Abia’s collective efforts towards progress.

Mr. Eme explained that the Governor is strengthening collaboration because of his Goveenment’s belief that effective collaboration between the Government and NGOs is essential for successful development initiatives, and encourage NGOs to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices with each other and with the Government so that both parties can leverage on their resources and expertise to maximize the impact of government’s interventions.

The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Chinedu Ekeke, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicty, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma, Special Assistant on Vulnerable Groups and Poverty Alleviation, Mrs. Ifeoma Thomas and Special Assistant to the Governor on People With Disabilities, Mr. Anyaele who spoke respectively encouraged the NGOs to embrace the opportunities provided by the meeting and ensure that the people, especially those at the grassroots benefit from the lofty plans and programmes of the Alex Otti led-government government through their NGOs, and assured that the interactive session will be a continuous exercise.
