The Senior Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor on Due Process and Procurement,Dr Oluebube A Chukwu has applauded Governor Alex Chioma Otti for appointing 20 distinguished Nigerians with global acclaim to serve as members of the Abia Global Economic Advisory Council,says the appointment is a testament to Governor Otti’s commitment to competence as well that he is in a hurry to set Abia economy on a global path.
Reacting shortly after the announcement of the constitution of the Abia Global Economic Advisory Council by Governor Alex Otti as part of his administration’s strategic plan to make Abia a preferred investment destination for global businesses, Chukwu who spoke to Newsmen in Umuahia explained that,
“The quality of individuals Governor Alex Chioma Otti has appointed, reflect the Governor’s understanding of the importance of having qualified professionals, competent individuals of proven integrity and achievers in his government to help drive his vision of growth and development of the State.
“The appointments signify a departure from sycophantic consideration and instead prioritize the selection of globally distinguished Nigerians to effectively bring in their wealth of experiences to bare and it is on record that Abia has never witnessed this high level of inclusion in governance since the inception of democracy in the State” he said
