The Unity Federatrd Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Abia State Chapter has elected new executives to serve for the next three years.

The executives were elected at the 2nd Trinnial Congress held in Umuahia, the Abia State Capital.

Chairman of the Abia State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Victor Ndukwe in his charge to the newly inaugurated leaders called for unity and collaboration among chapel members while speaking against discordant tunes among members.

He insists that the unity of the chapel should rob off on the council making it easier for others to join as well as having a united NUJ even as he appealed for peace and regular attendance to meetings as a way of ensuring a united front.

The chairman of the United Federated Chapel, Felix Ubani who spoke on behalf of other elected officials emphasized on the need for unity while promising to carry everyone along as he works with the larger body, the Nigeria Union of Journalists for a better output.

The newly elected executives are Felix Ubani, Chairman, Nwamara Chekwube will serve as Secretary while Imeremba Imeremba is the treasurer.
Others are Daniel Maduagwu, Financial Secretary and Emmanuel Ejiogu as Vice Chairman. Torty Peace will serve as Auditor of the chapel.
