Dr Max Nduaguibe, the leader of Ukwalangwa Council of Elders and his executives has commended the delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for voting overwhelmingly for Professor Uche Eleazer Ikonne in the just concluded primary election of the party.

Professor Ikonne emerged the gubernatorial candidate for the PDP in Abia state after the primary election held on Wednesday May 25, 2022 at the Umuahia township stadium in Abia state.

The commendation message was made available on Monday.

In the release, Dr. Nduaguibe gave kudos to the delegates for their wise decision and thumping up for Professor Ikonne during the primaries.

He noted with delight that their choices is in tandem with the foremost aspiration and early forth initiated by the Ukwalangwa council of elders that the next governor of Abia states comes from Umunnato Ngwa.

Dr. Nduaguibe, recalls that 468 majority votes was secured by professor Ikonne is the first step towards actualizing the emergence of a governor from Umunnato Ngwa and he expressed optimism that the Abia electorate will massively give professor Ikonne the winning votes in the 2023 governorship election.

He congratulated professor Uche Ikonne on his victory at the primaries, stressing that judging by his pedigree as a consumate administrator and an academic, he will steer the states to greater heights by improving on the performances of his predecessors.

Dr. Max Nduaguibe also congratulated Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for standing firm on his resolve that his successor will come from Umunnato Ngwa, maintaining that he has exhibited the character of a real and trusted leader.
