Tinubu Confers National Honours On Super Falcons, Awards $100,000

President Bola Tinubu has conferred national honours of Officer of the Order of the Niger on the Super Falcons following their victory at WAFCON.

He also announced the award of the naira equivalence of $100,000 to each to the 24 players, and the naira equivalence of $50,000 to the technical team.

Each player and official in the team will also be getting a three-bedroom apartment in the Renewed Hope Estate in the Federal Capital Territory.

The Super Falcons won Nigeria’s 10th WAFCON title on Saturday.The team came from two goals down to defeat Morocco 3-2 in the final at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.Esther Okoronkwo, Folashade Ijamilusi and Jennifer Echegini were the goal scorers for the Falcons.
