In recognition of his outstanding leadership qualities and selfless service to humanity, a coalition of student groups in the southeast has nominated Bishop Dr Emeka Nwankpa for Leadership Excellence Award.
In a letter conveying the award and signed by Prince Jerry Okafor, the convener, the group, Southeast Student Leaders, said that the revered cleric and philanthropist was chosen for the award as a result of his love for quality education, sterling leadership qualities, contributions to the growth of the Nigerian society and support to student bodies.
The co-recipients of the award are Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo; Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, senator representing Abia North; Prof Chukwuma Soludo, Governor of Anambra State, and Senator Obinna Ogba.
The event is scheduled to hold on August 12, 2023 at Oma Event Centre, Awka, Anambra State.
