The Abia State Police command has arrested a suspected Abductor/Child trafficer connected with adoption of teenage girls in Isochi environs of Abia State.
According to a press release by ASP Maureen Chioma Chinaka LLB Anipr , Police Public Relations Officer of Abia State, the suspect has confessed to the crime and is in custody.

“On August 8, 2023, at approximately 6:00 PM, the ISUOCHI DIVISIONAL POLICE HEADQUARTERS received a distressing report regarding the disappearance of three minors. A couple, Onyekwere Christian (male) and Nneka Nwokoma (female), both from Achara and Amuda Isuochi, reported that their daughters had been missing for over a week. The missing girls were identified as Goodness Onyekwere (15 years old), Ezinwanne Onyekwere (16 years old), and Viviane Ndukwe (13 years old).
“In response, the Police promptly initiated a thorough investigation. They diligently pursued available leads and evidence to determine the whereabouts of the missing girls.
“As a result of meticulous investigative efforts, the police in that division successfully apprehended a suspect connected to the case. The individual, identified as Obinna Ibe from Achara Isuochi, was taken into custody and confessed to his involvement in the incident. Shockingly, the suspect admitted to abducting the three young girls and transporting them to Ghana.
‘The investigation is ongoing, and the matter will soon be brought to court for proper legal proceedings.”
