Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ndume, Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State has endorsed Sir Innocent Nwanchukwu to contest for Umuahia East State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly come 2023 general election.

In a meeting held at the community’ town hall which had huge attendance, held the opinion from different stakeholders during their speech that they most come together to achieve a common goal.

Speaking to newsmen about the event was Hon. Royal Udo Onyiro, popularly known as Ahijo, the Coordinator, “Defend Ndume 2023”.He said the reason for the gathering was to bring Ndume people together for a strong political awareness and for formidable team to achieve their slot in the political space of the state.

In his words: “We are here to enlighten them about the political terrain of this period because the House of Assembly, Umuahia East state constituency is Zoned to Ndume and we believe that we have quality men of capacity to represent us at the state House of Assembly.

“And by so doing, we have moved a motion to go and call out sir Innocent Nwanchukwu to represent us in the house of Assembly. We have checked other aspirants and we have concluded that he is the most credible. We believe that he will do wonders when he gets there, he has the financial muscle and ability to take care of Umuahia East State Constituency.”

He also revealed that Sir Innocent Nwanchukwu has been a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while Ndume people from various political party were all in attendance to champion the course of the community.

The party faithfuls also took to the streets to express their position and quest.
