Hon. Chukwudi Apugo, former Abia State House of Assembly member representing Umuahia East has celebrated his 50th birthday anniversary in grand style.
The blissful event which began with a church service at Blessed Chapel International on Sunday morning was graced by family members, top government officials, politicians friends and well wishes.
Dignitaries in attendance included the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, represented by Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, former Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, Charles Ogbonna (Evuluogu Ibeku), Senator Darlington Nwokocha, former Abia Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Cosmos Ndukwe and his wife, Dr. Enyinnaya Nwafor, Barrister Okey Igwe, Chima Anyaso, Chief Henry Ikoh, Dr. Johnpedro Irokansi, Dr. Ike Onyenweaku, Okechukwu Dike, Barrister Ben Udechukwu, Bestman Eruba, and other prominent government officials.
During the church service, the principal of Danijoy International School Chinyere Dialain in her speech described the proprietor of the school, Hon. Chukwudi Apugo as someone who at 50 years anniversary received grace, mercy, kindness, favour and blessings from God while also describing him as a dedicated man who is focused in all he does.
In the sermon titled: “Love and Generosity, Pastor Maduka Nwankwo of Blessed Chapel International, encouraged Christians to emulate God’s love for humanity and His commitment to the purpose of mankind.
Pastor Nwankwo urged Christians to consistently acknowledge God and seek meaningful ways to reciprocate God’s love as he also
emphasised on the importance of working diligently and giving generously to support God’s work on earth. He encouraged Hon. Apugo to consider what he could give back to God in appreciation for the many blessings he has received.
CANDID REPORTERS recalls that Hon. Chukwudi Apugo had on Thursday empowered, 17 youths in his community with the sum of 300,000 naira each to boost their business which was done as part of the lines up activities to mark his 50th birthday ceremony.
The event in the church also entertained poems, calisthenics, spoken words, Orchestra by Umuahia students of Danijoy International School while Dance drama was performed by Students from Danijoy International School, Uyo Campus.
In the speech of Governor Alex Otti, expressed by Pastor Caleb Ajagba, he said “there are many reasons to be grateful to God for Hon. Apugo’s life, wishing him more blessings and blissful years ahead”.
“The next 50 years of your life will surpass all your previous accomplishments. Establishing Danijoy is one of your most impactful contributions. You may not yet fully understand the difference you have made in the lives of these children who are singing glory to you now, but you will see it later in life. I wish you many more fulfilling years ahead,” he added.
The event climaxed with the cutting of cake by the celebrant and family members during a reception held in his house.
