The family of late Comrade Emmanuel Okechukwu Ugboaja, mni, General Secretary of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has formerly announced the demise of their father and brother.

“With profound sorrow and deep grief, the Mark Ugboaja Family announces the passing of our beloved brother, father, and uncle, Comrade Emmanuel Okechukwu Ugboaja, mni, General Secretary of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
“He passed away on August 22, 2026.
“We mourn the loss of a devoted father, a loving brother, a cherished uncle, a committed labour leader, and a man who dedicated his life to serving humanity. His passing is a profound loss to us his family, colleagues, Nkpa Community, and all who knew and worked with him.
“We respectfully request your prayers at this time of great loss.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace.
