The Chief Liaison Officer, Abia State Liaison Office Abuja, Hon. Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, has praised the people of Item Kingdom for their outstanding contributions to national development, describing them as “pioneers, captains of industry, astute academicians and seasoned professionals” whose excellence is felt across Nigeria and beyond.
Hon. Chinasa made this remark at the annual Item Day Celebration in Abuja, where he represented Governor Alex Chioma Otti, OFR. He highlighted the community’s achievements in business, governance, education, leadership, and humanitarian service, saying Item remains a first-class community, not just in heritage but in intellect, character, and nation-building.
According to Hon. Chinasa, Governor Otti holds the Item Kingdom in high esteem, acknowledging their integrity, unity, and remarkable capacity for leadership. He emphasized the governor’s people-centred leadership, noting that numerous developmental projects and transformative policies are driven by a commitment to rebuild Abia State for the people and by the people.
He urged all sons and daughters of Item to continue lending their support to the governor’s reform-driven administration and to partner with the state in building the Abia of collective dreams. Hon. Chinasa commended the unity and rich culture of the Item people, encouraging them to keep strengthening the bonds that make Item a model community.
