Today, we join the world to celebrate International Men’s Day—a day dedicated to honoring the strength, sacrifice, compassion, and leadership of men across our families, communities, and nation.
To every man working tirelessly to provide, protect, inspire, and lead with integrity, I salute your courage. Your efforts—seen and unseen—are the foundations upon which families grow, communities develop, and societies thrive.
This year’s celebration reminds us that true masculinity is rooted not in dominance, but in responsibility, character, empathy, and positive impact. It calls us to be role models to younger generations, champions of equality, and pillars of support to the women and children around us.
I especially celebrate the men of Abia State, whose resilience and commitment continue to shape the progress we are witnessing today. Under the leadership of Governor Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, we are building a society where men and women alike can fulfil their potential, thrive in dignity, and contribute meaningfully to development.
