A total of 17 people have been confirmed killed during an attack on Mbaikyor Mbalom community, in Gwer LGA of Benue state.
CANDIDREPORTERS.COM gathered that gunmen invaded the village on Thursday night and carried out the mayhem.
During the attack, the gunmen burnt down many houses before murdering the unarmed people, including a little boy.
It was also revealed that the corpses were picked up by members of the community on Friday morning.
The spokesperson of Benue police command, Catherine Anene as at the time of filing this report claimed
not to be aware of the killings.
“I don’t have that information,” Anene said.
