The Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, received with sadness, the news of the demise of the revered Traditional Ruler of Isuochi Ancient Kingdom in Umunneochi LGA of the state, His Royal Majesty, Eze Godwin Irononso Ezekwesiri, the Ochi 1 of Isuochi.
Governor Otti regretted that the Royal Father passed away when there was greater need for the younger generation to tap from his experience and wealth of knowledge, both as a statesman and as a Royal Father who impacted his community in particular and the state at large, positively.
The Abia Chief Executive recalls that Eze Ezekwesiri used his over five decades on the throne to touch lives positively while ensuring peace, unity and security in his kingdom in particular, and Umunneochi as a whole, and prays God to grant his soul eternal repose.
Finally, the Governor, on behalf of his family, the government and people of Abia State, sends his heartfelt condolences to the Ezekwesiri family and the people of Umunneochi, and enjoins them to bear the loss with fortitude.
