The Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has sent warm birthday felicitations to the Chief Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia, Prof. Azubuike Onyebuchi, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a birthday message, Governor Otti described Prof. Onyebuchi as an illustrious Abian, an accomplished Medical Doctor, Academic,and a thoroughbred professional who has distinguished himself in the field of medical practice. He expressed joy that God has sustained him to celebrate yet another birthday in good health.
The Abia Chief Executive specifically applauded Prof. Onyebuchi for the great impact he has made since his appointment as the CMD of FMC, especially in the area of infrastructure upgrade, describing the feat as heartwarming and commendable.
According to the Governor:
“I feel glad to rejoice with a friend, an illustrious Abian and thoroughbred medical professional, the Chief Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre, Prof. Azubuike Onyebuchi, as he marks the occasion of his birthday. Without doubt, Prof. Onyebuchi has distinguished himself as a medical doctor, initiating reforms and infrastructure upgrades that have impacted positively on patients. Indeed, his giant strides and accomplishments are heartwarming and commendable. I therefore enjoin him to continue to impact society more positively.” — the Governor stated.
Governor Otti assured Prof. Onyebuchi of his government’s commitment to ensuring the total transformation of Abia’s health system, a vision he said the CMD is passionate about because of the value he attaches to life. He also restated his resolve to keep supporting important government institutions like the FMC because of their strategic importance and the services they render to our people.
On behalf of his family, the government, and the people of Abia State, Governor Otti celebrated Prof. Onyebuchi and prayed that God would bless him abundantly.
