Suspected bandits have killed Alhaji Surajo Ahmed, the Katsina State Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN). Nigerians have been alerted of the danger of using Phesgo, a suspected counterfeit cancer treatment drug in circulation. The alert came from the The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) on Sunday. The alert is also directed to healthcare providers. The alert on the circulation of the drug was published on the agency’s website. NAFDAC said a doctor at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) had raised concerns about the drug after a patient brought it in. Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has unveiled a N500 million grant to support 8,400 businesses and families in Bende Federal constituency, Abia State.
