The unsealing of her 205 office of the Senate wing was done on Tuesday along with combined personnel of security organisations. The development signals an end to the  imbroglio between President of the Senate,  Senator Godswill Akpabio and embattled Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. The Federal High Court in Abuja has rescheduled Friday September 26th, 2025 for the determination of application filed by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on the no-case submission in his case with the federal government. CANDID REPORTERS recalls that the ruling was previously scheduled for October 10. In a document sighted by CANDID REPORTERS on Monday, “the scheduled ruling on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s no-case submission has been abridged from 10th October 2025 toFriday, 26th September 2025,” Kanu is currently facing trial for terrorism due to his push for the actualization of Biafra.

The Multichoice group (MCG) has crossed the threshold, with the Canal+ merger becoming unconditional and the French media giant is now effectively in control of the company. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has released a statement on the demise of Maurice Ogbonna, Cross River state commander found dead in hotel room. The commander was found dead on Thursday, in a hotel room in Calabar, as his colleagues arrived to pick him up for an assignment. In a statement released on Friday by Femi Babafemi, NDLEA spokesperson, said Ogbonna’s death was brought to the attention of Buba Marwa, the agency’s chairman, in Maiduguri, Borno state, where he was attending a retreat organised by the ministry of justice for heads of agencies. Governor Siminalayi Fubara, of Rivers State is scheduled to address residents of the state on Friday in a statewide broadcast. Governor Fubara disclosed this while addressing journalists at the Government House in Port Harcourt, the state capital. Siminalayi Fubara, governor of Rivers, has arrived at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa. The governor’s aircraft touched down at about 11:55am on Friday. Supporters of the governor were on the ground to welcome him.
