Two years ago, Abia State stood at a crossroads, yearning for change — not just in words but in action. In answer to that cry, Providence gave us a leader not afraid to dream, to dare, and to deliver. Dr. Alex Chioma Otti stepped into office with a heart of service, a mind of innovation, and hands ready to build. Today, we are proud to say: he has not only met expectations — he has exceeded them.
As the Executive Governor of Abia State marks his second anniversary in office, I, join the people of Abia and especially the good citizens of Bende to celebrate a leader whose impact has been nothing short of phenomenal.
In just twenty-four months, Governor Otti has redefined governance, restoring hope and dignity to a people once weighed down by neglect. From roads that were once death traps to highways that now gleam with order and beauty; from dilapidated hospitals to healthcare centres that now breathe life into our communities; from broken classrooms to schools filled with light, learning, and laughter — the Otti revolution is real, and it is reshaping Abia before our very eyes.
One of the most outstanding pillars of his administration has been his unwavering commitment to education. The introduction of free and compulsory education for every child of school age has brought thousands off the streets and into classrooms, unlocking futures and igniting dreams. This is true legacy.
Our civil servants can now breathe easy with the restoration of workers’ welfare and dignity. Salaries are paid as and when due. Pensions are no longer ignored. Governance has returned to the people — accountable, transparent, and focused.
Indeed, under Dr. Otti’s leadership, Abia has become a shining example of good governance, peace, and purposeful development.
As the Abia State Liaison Officer at the National Assembly, I have witnessed firsthand how Governor Otti’s visionary policies have given our state a new voice and a respected place at the national table. Abia is no longer begging to be heard — Abia is leading by example.

As you mark two years of service, may your strength be renewed, your vision be sharpened, and your courage be unshakable. The road ahead is still long, but with your kind of leadership, the future of Abia State is brighter than ever.
