The Abia State Chapter of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria(OMPAN) has commiserated with the Nigerian Army over the Killing of Five Soldiers by yet to be identified Gunmen in Aba on Thursday 30th May 2024.

OMPAN in a statement endorsed by its Chairman Chief Promise Uzoma Okoro said the killing of the Five Soldiers was painful and should be condemned by every lover of Peace especially as soldiers who mount the Military Checkpoint at the Obikabia Junction are said to be friendly to Civilians and motorists.

“This killing is very painful, we are Saddened in OMPAN that the Nigerian Army that recently held a Social Media Seminar in Aba in a bid to foster Civil Military relations will be Victim of an unprovoked attack barely one Month after the Seminar”

He appealed to the Nigerian army not to arrest innocent civilians but go after the perpetrators of that dastardly act and bring them to Justice.

He said the Union will continue to partner the Nigerian Army in its resolve to maintain Law and Order.
