In a bold and resolute declaration that is echoing across Bende Local Government Area, the Abia State Liaison Officer to the National Assembly, Hon. Iheanyi Frank Chinasa has reaffirmed the unwavering support of the people of Bende for the visionary and transformational leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, Governor of Abia State.

Speaking during the Grand Civic Reception and Inauguration of Abia Arise Bende Local Government Area in Uzuakoli, Hon. Chinasa stated categorically that “there is no vacancy in the Abia Government House come 2027.” According to him, the overwhelming developmental projects already touching the lives of Bende constituents are a clear testament that Governor Otti deserves not only a second term but an even greater mandate.

Under the New Abia agenda, Dr. Otti has brought long-awaited transformation to Bende, with visible and impactful projects such as:

  • The historic reconstruction and commissioning of the Uzuakoli-Akara-Ohafia Road—breaking decades of abandonment and reconnecting communities to commerce and development. Remodelling and equipping of Primary Health Centres across Bende, including the ultra-modern Ngwu Uzuakoli PHC, now serving as a model for primary healthcare delivery in rural Nigeria.
  • Market revitalization projects that have begun restoring life to neglected communities.

“These are not just projects. They are proof of purposeful leadership,” Hon. Chinasa stated. “For the first time, our cries have not just been heard—they have been answered.”

Across wards, villages, and communities, the people of Bende are speaking with one voice — Dr. Alex Otti must continue the good work. Traditional rulers, youth bodies, market women, farmers, artisans, and professionals alike have all given a resounding endorsement of the Governor’s performance and leadership.

Hon. Chinasa added that come 2027, Bende will not only vote massively for Dr. Otti, but will also reclaim the lost legislative mandate and realign fully with the vision for good governance. “Bende is no longer for sale. We are for progress, we are for development, and we are for Dr. Alex Chioma Otti.”

As the 2027 race begins to take shape, the message from Bende is loud and clear— “No Vacancy. The Seat is Occupied.” The Vision is Alive. The Work Continues.
