Former Abia State Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for entrusting him with the responsibility of coordinating the activities of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State.
Kalu, in a statement, described the assignment as a demonstration of the President’s confidence in his leadership and commitment to the party. He noted that, as the most senior governor from the state, he is prepared to work closely with all stakeholders to strengthen unity within the APC.
According to him, the directive is aimed at repositioning the party to produce candidates who are widely accepted and capable of securing electoral victory in the state.
He further emphasized that efforts would be aligned with the broader goal of supporting President Tinubu’s re-election, while also advancing the interests of Abia State and Nigeria as a whole.
Kalu reaffirmed his commitment to fostering cohesion within the party, expressing optimism that the APC would emerge stronger and more competitive in Abia.
