The Chief Liaison Officer of the Abia State Liaison Office, Abuja, Hon. Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, has emphasized the importance of preserving institutional memory and celebrating individuals whose careers have significantly shaped national security and leadership.
Hon. Chinasa made the remark while representing Governor Alex Otti at the official launch of two biographies authored by former Inspector General of Police, Mr. Usman Alkali Baba, in Abuja.
The biographies, titled “Giant Footprints” and “A Policeman Personified”, capture Mr. Alkali Baba’s illustrious career and contributions to the Nigerian Police Force and the nation.
Hon. Chinasa commended the former IGP for his dedication to public service and for documenting his experiences, saying it would inspire future leaders and security professionals.
The event drew dignitaries, including former IGP Mr. Sunday Ehindaro, statesmen, senior security officials, and intellectuals, who praised Mr. Alkali Baba’s service to the nation.
