As Christians around the world celebrate Mothering Sunday, Chief Iheanyi Frank Chinasa has issued an advisory press statement urging mothers in Abia and Nigeria as a whole to rediscover their original role of home building as prescribed by the Bible.
According to Chief Chinasa, the societal breakdown and moral decadence prevalent in today’s society can be directly attributed to the abandonment of traditional family values and the pivotal role of mothers as home builders.
“MOTHERS are the bedrock of our society, and their influence shapes the very fabric of our families and communities,” Chief Chinasa emphasized.
“As moral instructors, mothers play a crucial role in instilling values, discipline, and character in their children.”
Chief Chinasa lamented that the modern-day pursuit of career advancement and financial independence has led many mothers to abandon their God-ordained role of home building, leaving their children to suffer from neglect and lack of guidance.
“As we celebrate Mothering Sunday, I implore mothers to return to their original role of home building. Let us rediscover the joy of nurturing our children, teaching them the ways of God, and instilling in them the values that will make them responsible citizens.” Chief Chinasa urged.
Chief Chinasa concluded by quoting Proverbs 22:6, which says, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”
