Police Service Commission (PSC) have been tasked by some retired police officers to obey the judgment of the national industrial court, which ordered their reinstatement. The officers, through their lawyer, Adeleke Agbola, instituted contempt proceedings against the PSC and the inspector-general of police (IGP), over the “non-compliance” to the 2022 court order. In 2021, officers from courses 33, 34, and 35 were retired by the police authorities over claims that they had spent the mandatory 35 years in service. Lagos State Special Offences Court has ordered the forfeiture of 6.3 billion units of ordinary shares of Keystone Bank Limited, valued at N1.00 each, to the Federal Government  Justice Ramon Oshodi gave the order on Tuesday in Ikeka. Adolphus Wabara, the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees, has been suspended. CANDID REPORTERS gathered that Wabara was suspended by his ward in Abia State for alleged anti-party activities. Kenneth Okonkwo, a former spokesperson for the Labour Party (LP) presidential campaign council, has resigned his membership of the party.  Okonkwo was the LP campaign spokesperson in the 2023 election. The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal filed by Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers state challenging the leadership of the Rivers State House of Assembly led by Martin Amaewhule.
