Abia state Governor, Dr Alex Otti has once again appreciated Abia people and residents for their support to his administration in the last one year and seven months.

Governor Alex Otti was speaking at the 2024 Ehi Na Uguru Day held at Umuehim Community School, Nvosi in Isialangwa South LGA. He particularly appreciated the people of his immediate community for their sustained support and described them as knowledgeable people.

Governor Otti, who vowed to complete all ongoing projects in the state assured that by 2025 Ehi Na Uguru Day, all the projects he has embarked upon within the area would have been completed.

He disclosed that his secret for carrying out various projects in the state so far without borrowing a Kobo from financial institutions is what he called “financial engineering and financial prudence”.

While appreciating the organizers of the Ehi Na Uguru Day and various stakeholders that attended, Governor Otti wished everyone a happy and prosperous New Year.

Also speaking, the member representing Isialangwa North and South Federal Constituency, Chief Ginger Onwusibe appreciated the ongoing projects of the Governor in his constituency and the State at large.

He said that Dr. Otti means well for the people of Isialangwa and said that if he would not want to contest for Governorship again, they would force him to go for a second term of office.

In their speeches, some stakeholders including Chief Gershun Amuta and Prof. ACB Agbazuere saluted Dr. Alex Otti for his impactful administration in the State. They commended the Governor for increasing the monthly stipend of the traditional rulers in the State and for extending Christmas packages to his people in Isialangwa South.

Earlier, the Chairman of the occasion, Dr. Bestman Anyatonwu and Chairman organizing committee, Chief John Nwosu said that the annual event commenced five years ago and recalled the role played by Dr. Otti in uniting the people then before becoming the State Governor.
