The Abia State Ministry of Trade and Commerce, in partnership with VEGA is set to host an investment summit and product exhibition in Abia State.
The summit tagged, Abia-Turkiye Investment Summit and Product Exhibition 2025 is being hosted by the Abia State Government. The event is scheduled to hold at International Conference Center in Umuahia from November 25 to 27, 2025 between the hours of 9am to 6pm daily.
The summit is tagged “Bridging Continents, Unlocking Prosperity”.
The summit will be showcasing manufacturing and Industrial Parks, Agriculture and Agro Processing, Textiles, Fashion and Leatherworks, Construction and Teal Estate Development, Energy and Infrastructure, Trade and Logistics, Technology, Education and skills Development.

According to the special Adviser to Governor Alex Otti on investment Promotion and Public Private Partnership (PPP), High Chief Jerome Green-Amakwe, while speaking during a meeting held with the Speaker and members of the Abia State House of Assembly in Umuahia on Tuesday, he said the Abia-Turkiye Investment Summit and Product Exhibition will contribute immensely to the growth of Abia State economy.
During the meeting, Chief Amakwe also sought the collaboration of the Abia State House of Assembly members in other have to a successful hosting of the Summit.
CANDID REPORTERS gathered that the partnership with the Turkish Government for the summit and product exhibition is a deliberate effort targeted at creating job opportunities as well as help in showcasing other economic potential of Abia State and the partnering county.
The summit and product exhibition is also expected to create a favourable business environment for Abia citizens doing business in Nigeria as well as extend the goodwill to those living and plying their trade in Turkey.
High Chief Amakwe said the summit is all about attracting investments from across Nigeria, Africa and the world at large with particular partnership with Turkey.
“Turkey is a developed economy. We want to tap into their economic development by asking them and requesting them to come and partner with us, partner with Abia people, partner with our businessmen and investors to have a good working relationship”. High Chief Amakwe said.

Responding to the planned event, the Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Emmanuel Emeruwa on behalf of other members of the House pledged total support for the summit as well as other policies and programmes of the State government.
Also speaking, the Deputy Speaker of .Abia House of Assembly, Austin Okezie Mmeregini and Hon. Nnamdi Ibekwe commended Chief Amakwe for seeking support of the legislature and assured that they would work with his committee to ensure the success of the Summit.
