As the bill for the creation of Aba State scales First Reading in the House of Representatives, Hon Munachim Alozie, member representing Obingwa/Osisioma/UgwunagboFFederal Constituency, and one of the four co-sponsors of the bill, has reiterated their irrevocable commitment to the realization of the creation of Aba State, thereby ensuring that one the yearnings of the people of southeast, which is the creation of an additional state in the region, is met.

According to the Chairman of the Committee on Recovery of Public Funds Seized, Forfeited and Abandoned in Financial Institutions and Government Agencies, the creation of Aba State is long overdue. Speaking further on the development, Hon Munachim Alozie expressed his happiness for what he described as a ‘team work’ among the representatives of the nine local government areas of Isiala Ngwa North/South, Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo, Aba North/South, Ukwa East/West, which will make up Aba State, when created.

The bill, which was presented today on the floor of the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, has Hon Ginger Onwusibe as sponsor, with Hon Munachim Alozie, Hon Mascot Ikwechegh and Hon Chris Nkwonta, as co-sponsors.
