The Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has sent his condolences to the leadership of the State Joint Security Command over the unfortunate motor accident involving personnel of the State Joint Security Taskforce (Operation Crush) on Sunday 30th March, 2025, at Ahieke along the Umuahia-Bende road which resulted in the death of a member of the team while others sustained various degrees of injury.
Already, the government had taken the surviving victims to the nearest hospital and they are now receiving treatment.
Governor Otti expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident and regretted that a life was lost.
Governor Otti while condoling with the Joint Command and the family of the deceased Officer, assured that his government would ensure that the injured ones receive the best of medical attention to ensure they recuperate as quickly as possible.
The State Chief executive noted that the Joint Security Taskforce (Operation Crush) has been doing a wonderful job in securing the state against criminals and assured that his government will continue to give them the necessary support required to ensure they sustain the tempo.
