Gracelyn Adanne Oko, a former Flo FM staff member has picked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nomination form to join the election contest for the Ohafia North state constituency of Abia State.

Gracelyn, hails from the Amaogudu community in Abriba, Ohafia local government area of Abia State.

She obtained her expression of interest form on Monday at the PDP Secretariat in Umuahia, Abia State.

In her address to newsmen after obtaining the form, Gracelyn said beyond her passion for leadership, she will bring her years of human resource management to the realities of the rural economy, food system, and the challenges of the people of Ohafia North.

Gracelyn’s father, late Chief Oko Ejim Akuma is a renowned and dedicated PDP member whose legacy of commitment and service, Gracelyn said continues to inspire her to this political journey.

Gracelyn further gave reasons why she’s the best hand for the job.

In her own words:”My professional background in Human Resources and Customer Service has also equipped me with the skills to listen, manage people effectively, and deliver solutions that truly serve. I understand people, I understand systems, and I am committed to building both for the benefit of Ohafia North. Service, for me, is both practical and personal.

“Today, I take a bold and purposeful step toward service as I officially pick up my nomination form to contest for the position of House of Assembly Representative for Ohafia North Constituency, under the great and formidable PDP party.

“I stand for a new kind of leadership, one that is inclusive, forward-thinking, and people-driven. I am proudly pro-women and youth in leadership, because when women and young people are given a seat at the table, we unlock innovation, strengthen representation, and build sustainable development that truly reflects the needs of our communities.

“This is more than a candidacy, it is a movement for progress, opportunity, and a stronger Ohafia North, Nkporo and Abiriba, of course, Abia State at large. The future is now”.
