Umuahia South Council Boss Gets APPAS Award, Charges Members on Personal Improvement, Self Confidence

The Executive Chairman of Umuahia South LGA of Abia State, Engr. Chinedu Ewereuzo has charged members of the Association of Professional Photographers, Abia State (APPAS) on the need to mprove themselves in their profession.

The council boss gave the advice on Tuesday during this year’s Photo Festival held at Belgonia Event Center, Lagos Street by Calabar Road, Umuahia.

He further charged them to make professionalism their watch word as well as believing in themselves because photography is a noble profession.

Engr. Ewereuzo stated that his life journey started as a photographer not minding that people don’t believe him because of his rising profile, he used the occasion to thank the sssociation for honoring him with APPAS Personality Award of the Year as he promised to always contribute his quota to the profession that gave him quantum leap.

Earlier in his Address, the association’s President, Comrade Destiny Dende thanked Governor Alex Otti and people of Umuahia South for finding one of their own worthy to serve in his Government at this time. Comrade Dende used the forum to commend Governor Alex Otti on his numerous giant strides in the state within eighteen months as Governor of the state and assured him of the support of the association at all times.

The event featured lectures and goodwill messages From many members such as: Mr Iheanyi Iyamah, Ebony snapping kingdom, Mr Onyekachi Kingsley Ahabuike JVC Television, Mr E.U Utah, Chinedu & bros media, Mr Gideon thinkgee images, Mr Paul Ogah, Mr Joshua Emeziem, Gentle jeo media and others.

The event witnessed the presence of the cream de la cream in the photo industry in the state and beyond.

The high point of the events was the Personality of the Year Award which was given to the Mayor of Umuahia South LGA, Engr. Chinedu Ewereuzo, the Deputy Mayor Ikwuano LGA Abia State, Hon Lucky Awuwa, Mr Denga Uchechi Nduaguibe, others.

The event also entertained the inauguration of the 2025 Electoral committee members of the association.

In his vote of thanks, the chairman planning committee, Mr Kenneth Chinweoke Oriji, thankef all who in one way or the other contributed to the success of the event. He gave special thanks to the mayor, Umuahia South LGA and the Deputy Mayor, Ikwuano LGA of Abia State for attending in person. He prayed For God’s guidance to mark next year’s event.
