Some residents of Okigwe town in Imo State in the early hours of Wednesday alleged the invasion of armed Fulani herdsmen in the environment.
Candidreporters.com confirmed that residents got the information of the alleged invasion from unconfirmed source as early as 12am.
The scare kept most residents awake and light up the street with burning tyres while others sounded various local means of communication to alert residents to keep awake and remain vigilant.
Confirmed reports also reaching candidreporters.com had it that neighboring communities have also fled their homes due to fear of the alleged attack .
Sporadic gun shots was however recorded and no victim of the alleged attack was recorded as the time of filling this report.
