A political pressure group, Abians for Good Governance, has reacted to the video recently released by Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe on his ordeal in the hands of Orji Uzor Kalu while he (Abaribe) served as Abia’s deputy governor.
In its terse reaction, the group described the video as a ‘ploy to deceptively cover his sixteen-year failure as senator’, and challenged Abaribe to, in the same manner, release the video of his achievements for Abia South in his sixteen-year stint as their senator, instead of what it described as the ‘rhetoric of his unholy marriage with Orji Uzor Kalu.’
Comrade Chiji Onyeike, the spokesperson for the group, advised Abaribe to stop insulting the sensibilities of the good people of Abia with what it described as “Abia’s ugly past’, which, according to the group, Abaribe has always been part of.
On Abaribe’s attack on Okezie Ikpeazu, the group said that Abaribe lacks the moral rectitude to criticize Ikpeazu as such is tantamount to the kettle calling the pot black, wondering how someone who has abysmally failed his senatorial district for sixteen years would turn to criticize another.
The group did not spare INEC for “crowning Abaribe’s failure with a renewed stolen mandate”, and urged Chinedu Onyeizu of the Labour Party to stop at nothing in reclaiming the mandate freely given to him by the good, resilient and industrious people of Abia South, and reminded Abaribe that not even a thousand videos will stop his imminent defeat in the long run.
