The royal fathers of Ohuhu community in Umuahia North local government area of Abia State on Friday July 9, 2021 recognized one of their illustrious son, Prince Raymond Onyinyechi Ofoegbu with a chieftaincy title as Onyinye Ohuhu 1.

Candidreporters.com earlier hinted that Prince Raymond Onyinyechi Ofoegbu was set to be recognized by the royal fathers of his community.

The ceremony was held at the palace of Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu, Umudiawa.

Prince Raymond Onyinyechi Ofoegbu, was said to be a proud son of Ofeme, a worthy character and personality to emulate.

Speaking to newsmen about the merit of the chieftaincy title, HRM Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu, Oroko Abia, Diawa 1 of Umudiawa, chairman Ohuhu Council of traditional rulers said ” Prince Raymond Onyinyechi Ofoegbu is a young man we noticed that has many part to play in the lives of our people which he has been doing, that is why we decided to give him the Onyinye Ohuhu 1, title.

“We gave him the title because we believe that as a young man that God has blessed, he will continue to use him to bless his people.

“He has been helping and sponsoring our young men and women and also supporting widows. He has also been paying the school fees of some primary school pupils, secondary school students and those in the University.

” So when somebody is showing this type of benevolence and no one is encouraging him to do more, it may become discouraging, that is why we have to give Him the title as Onyinye Ohuhu, which means a blessing to Ohuhu people. “

HRM Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu used the opportunity to beckoned on sons and daughters of Ohuhu community who has the heart to serve humanity, to contribute their quota to the upliftment of Ohuhu people in diverse ways.

In his words: “Whether they are here in Nigeria or overseas, we encourage them just as this young man in US. Come and stand by your people in helping them, one way or the other. When they do this, it will help in uplifting the graduates who are jobless to stay out of negative engagements.”

HRM Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu also advised all youths in Ohuhu to exploit all available avenues presented them to reach the monarchs in other to lay their complains for attention and assistance.

Prince Raymond Onyinyechi Ofoegbu on his part, thanked his kingsmen for the recognition and promised not to relent in his effort.
He also pointed out that the recognition is unmerited.

In his words: “The chieftaincy title is somehow unmerited, on the other hand, a call of restoration for our people at Ohuhu, I have given myself to the people for that call.

“I run a foundation called the Onyinye Ohuhu Humanitarian Aid Foundation. The foundation is for human restoration and revival. I have the privileged to be in the United States where I studied and I want to help my people to see the United States in a localized area like ours. I have been doing that through my medical outreach, free education, widows programs and general public assistance. So we are on ground to help Ohuhu people and Abia state at large.”

Prince Raymond Onyinyechi Ofoegbu also noted that he haven’t received any financial assistance from the government or NGOs or any international organization to finance the Ohuhu Humanitarian Aid Foundation.

“It is a personal effort, it is my hard work and sweat that is providing for my people. It is for them to feel good and feel the presence of good life.” Prince Raymond Ofoegbu revealed.

Lots of people from different parts of the state and country, graced the occasion with their presence and well wishes.

Prince Raymond Ofoegbu was, formerly with the Nigeria Immigration Service. He was among the contingent sent on an official duty to United States of America .

Due to his love for education and natural desire to care for humans, he enrolled into a nursing school in the United States of America where he graduated and got certified as a nurse. Having been blessed by his individual effort, he has been known to be meeting the yearnings of his people.
