Peter Obi, Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 election has visited Afe Babalola, SAN, in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

During the visit, Obi had pleaded with Babalola to consider the “situation” of human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi, who has been remanded at the Ekiti prison.

CANDID REPORTERS recalls that on Monday, the court granted Farotimi bail in the sum of N50 million and a surety in like sum.

It was also gathered that Obi’s visit was in an attempt to mediate between the two lawyers.

After the visit, Peter Obi proceeded to the prison facility where Dele Farotimi is being held.

“In a private meeting, he expressed solidarity and engaged in a candid exchange aimed at addressing the prevailing challenges.”
