A suicide bomber on Tuesday possibly blew himself up in error with worn explosive vest in an attempt of accomplishing an assigned mission.
The incident reportedly happened around 11am at the Amaizu/Amangbala primary school premises in Ebonyi State.
There was panic in the area as residents scampered for safety.
According to an eye witness, the suspected bomber was said to have been seen earlier in the area.
Residents, who witnessed the incident, said he moved close to the school and when the security guard noticed and asked him to step back, he raised his shirt and the explosive he was wearing detonated.
Candidreporters.com gathered that efforts made to reach the state command police spokesperson, Loveth Odah probed abortive.
Stanley Okoro, Ebonyi commissioner for internal security, however, confirmed the incident, saying they were trying to get further details of the incident.
